What to do when you don’t know what to do?

The Problem

Is not this title amusing, is it? I hope, it is. In our life, sometimes, all of us faced this situation – we don’t know what to do? It is difficult to do anything when you do not know what to do?  Literally, you and I travel together in this journey and figure it out what to do?  Would you follow my suggestions??

It is not a problem

When you do not know what to do, it is a positive sign. You have to capitalize this moment of uncertainties. You must sleep on it. Yes, you heard correctly – you should sleep on it. Please take my word literally, do not read between the lines or infer any additional meaning.

The Solution

In such a tumults time, disconnect yourself from the world. Close your ears, eyes, mind as well, and start meditation.  Be turtle, withdraw yourself from everything. You are tensed, really, hence, you are thinking like this. So how to relax yourself. There is a way to do this.

My suggestion is do meditation.

” I have not done meditation ever in my life and I don’t know how to do it.”

“No, issues, answer my questions, do you know how to sleep peacefully.”

“Yes,  I know how to sleep.”

“I agree, you know – how to sleep but you do not know how to sleep peacefully. I will let you know – the art of sound sleep and the sound sleep is indeed  meditation.This sleep could be you physical sleep or yog nidra (Yoga Sleep).”

Take a break. Leave your  all belongings; renounce your home, family for few days. Go to a place where there is no disturbance or little disturbance. There is no tv, no laptop, no whatsapp, no fb,etc.

There is no family, no friends, and no guru. You do not need any one of them for now.

Keep a notebook and pen with yourself. Take a note of your wandering thoughts.  The place, which you have selected, should have minimum light – artificial or natural. Sleep or take rest for couple of days, do not do anything. Sleep like a child or yogi. I advocate for slumber. After sleep, when you get up, jot down your thoughts again. Repeat this process for couple of days. Your body and mind will be relaxed for sure after few days. Now, look at your notebook – go through your jotted points and plan to take no action on these, as you are still not ready for it.

Finally

I am still saying – – do nothing , when you don’t know what to do?? .

Now let us prepare yourself for doing something.

Now, do not set any goal from your notebook. Set a goal to make your will power very strong. Will is controlled by mind and mind is part of body. Hence, body needs to be healthy and strong.

Now set one simple goal pertaining to your daily routine say – get up every day at fixed time.

Back to Work  

Come back home. Start practice of  getting up every day at fixed time in any scenario.  Are you able to do it continuously? If your answer is yes, then you are getting ready to solve the riddle –“what to do when you don’t know what to do??

Now, you pick up one of your thoughts from your notebook and start working on it.

Hope I am able to convey my message. Few things are tacit, you need to comprehend it.
